Electronics Engineer

As one of the key developers of electro-optical systems for the defense industry, we continuously design and improve products that provide our customers with a tactical advantage in real combat and field conditions. In many cases, the reliability of our devices directly impacts the safety and lives of end users.

Reporting to: Chief Technical Officer

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and participate in the development of electronic design procedures and methodologies;
  • Prepare reports related to R&D and engineering activities;
  • Design product electronics ensuring:

– full compliance with requirements,

– cost optimization,

– use qualified, modern components and robust engineering solutions;

  • Provide technical support to manufacturing and prepare troubleshooting instructions for electronic assemblies in serial products;
  • Select and test electronic components and materials used in development;
  • Participate in the development and implementation of test procedures;
  • Design electronic circuits from system/block level down to discrete components;
  • Build working prototypes and conduct required testing;
  • Develop custom test benches/scripts for solution verification at both high and low levels (modules, boards, assemblies);
  • Provide technical support to service and manufacturing departments, including diagnostics and failure analysis upon request.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in electronic hardware design, including:

– analog circuits,

– power supplies and RF modules,

– FPGA solutions,

– microcontroller and DSP systems,

– hands-on experience with hardware and firmware debugging;

  • Education: Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree in Electronics, Computer Engineering, or a related field from a recognized international university;
  • Knowledge of technologies and software:

– HDL: VHDL / Verilog HDL / SystemVerilog (practical experience preferred);

– Engineering software: MathWorks MATLAB, MS Visual Studio, NI LabVIEW (strong practical experience preferred);

– PCB CAD tools: Altium, PADS (full-cycle experience from schematic to Gerber);

– FPGA families: Xilinx, Lattice (practical development experience);

– Interfaces/protocols: UART, I²C, SPI (design and debugging experience);

– Programming languages: C/C++, VB (proficient);

– Experience in development or technical support of mobile applications is an asset;

  • Excellent knowledge of analog and digital circuit design principles, including:

– high-speed PCB design (schematics, layout, debugging);

  • Advanced experience in digital signal processing (DSP) is an asset;
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet tight deadlines;
  • High level of self-organization, motivation, and willingness to work under time constraints and high responsibility;
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal);
  • Strong teamwork skills and readiness to collaborate closely with colleagues across departments (R&D, manufacturing, service).
