Newcon Optik participated in CANSEC 2022, Canada’s Global Defence and Security Trade show. This year CANSEC showcased technology, products and services for land-based, naval, aerospace and joint forces military units. The two-day event is the largest and most important defence industry event in Canada. We had the opportunity to network and engage with an audience of senior military and government representatives, international delegations and industry decision-makers to demonstrate our new and existing products, discuss future and prospective cooperation as well as already existing and developing projects.

 

NEWCON OPTIK is delighted to announce the appointment of Alex Rudiy as President effective January 1.  Mr. Rudiy has served in numerous roles with the company in his almost two decades of service, most recently as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer.  Prior to that, Mr. Rudiy held positions in sales, sales management, business development, production management, operations management.  Prior to becoming EVP, Mr. Rudiy served for many years as General Manager of the company.  Having been instrumental in the growth and strategic planning of the business, Mr. Rudiy now assumes the position of President as a member of the Senior Management Team.

Canada’s Newcon Optik has won a contract for “the provision of night vision monocular with training and maintenance package” in Iraq. The contract was awarded by the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS), and is valued at $834,058.
